Xyaat is located in the small community of Señor, Municipality of Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Quintana Roo.  It is integrated by friends of the community with the objective of rescuing and preserving the traditions and knowledge and legacies of the Mayan ancestors. The experiences are aimed at promoting local culture, environmental education programs are developed and knowledge transmission with children, youth and our visitors, where they learn traditional craft techniques and the importance of caring for nature and biodiversity.

 

The people, friendly and simple, invite you to come to the heart of their home where you can listen to the stories of the grandparents; live, share and experience our customs, enjoy delicious traditional Mayan dishes, appreciating the craftsmanship of our people.

 

The experiences are nature friendly, sustainable and culturally responsible. The tours are organized within the community, you will get to know the Mayan culture in a direct way.

Travel through history, learning about the traditional activities of an authentic Mayan community, narrated and shown by the grandparents of the community. You will be able to witness henequen spinning, traditional medicine, Mayan gastronomy, visit the Mayan milpa and observe the birds of our community.
