Cenotillo is characterized by its tranquility. In this community there is an extensive history of migration to the United States, in its streets coexist the traditional Yucatecan costumes with shirts and caps of American sports teams. Nearby we find a large number of cenotes, hence its name.

During 2012, a group of young people had the initiative to carry out weekly cleanings and monitoring of the cenotes in the town. With an entrepreneurial vision and the goal of self-employment, this group sought the support of the National Commission for the Development of Indigenous Peoples to start the tourism project in the cenote that today is known as "Xooch".

Today you can venture on a 4 kilometer bike ride from the center of Cenotillo to the entrance of the cenote, where you will find a guano palapa to catch your breath. In the cenote you can admire its pitcher shape, the blue color of its crystalline waters and the local vegetation that surrounds a mirror of water almost 60m in diameter. After a refreshing swim in the cenote, you can enjoy a traditional Yucatecan meal or spend a quiet night in the cabins and camping area of the cooperative.
